Main menu is slow

This has not happened in every instance in my attempts to run Coldest.exe but the main menu sometimes runs very sluggish and unresponsive, consuming 50-80% cpu useage.

P4 3.2 HT

Strange.  Is this windowed or fullscreen?  Can you tell if anything else is running?  Maybe a virus scanner or something that would be eating CPU.  Also, when it's sluggish, is it still bad if you try to join or host a game?  Off-hand I can't think of any likely culprits within the game that would cause an intermittent problem like this, but I've been wrong before.

I think I was having problems with my pc    I ran out of water coolant on my cpu, throttling back the speed!  Fixed!

I really like the game engine!  Put some flashier effects in there!  Multi-Fire lock on missiles and lasers and stuff!

Happy to hear you got it fixed.  We'll see about the rest of that stuff.
